Operating a kernel
Operating a kernel involves maintaining its persistent state, managing accounts and access, and overseeing the funds it holds. These chapters cover setup and maintenance, routine administrative duties, and the economics of serving other kernels.
The operator uses the sys account. It has access to administrative commands
and a wider view of ordinary records, while using the same client and HTTP API
as other users. The earlier chapters therefore remain relevant to the
operator’s own calls, deposits, and withdrawals.
