Pedro A. Ortega
Creator of Juice
Among the earliest hires working on AGI safety at Google DeepMind, where he built and led one of its first safety teams. His work spans large-scale planning, bounded rationality, causality, and AI safety. Since DeepMind he has developed open-source architectures for decentralized artificial general intelligence.

David Hyland
Postdoctoral researcher, University of Oxford
Works on incentives and collective agency as frameworks for understanding and shaping coordination in multi-agent systems of humans and AI. His contributions to multi-agent bounded rationality are part of the fundamental principles of bounded agency. His DPhil at Oxford was supervised by Michael Wooldridge and Julian Gutierrez.

Nick Bishop
Postdoctoral researcher, University of Oxford
Works in mechanism design, bandit theory and agent-based models. His doctoral work at the University of Southampton studied problems at the intersection of mechanism design and machine learning, and his current research applies machine learning to calibrate and validate agent-based models of large-scale complex systems.

Daniel Jarne Ornia
Postdoctoral researcher, University of Oxford
His work spans from the formal properties of biologically inspired agent swarms to how limited resources affect the decisions of AI agents. He holds a PhD in control theory and multi-agent systems from Delft University of Technology, and studies the safety and emergent properties of interacting AI agents.
