Requirements

macOS or Linux, Intel or ARM. The kernel starts with a standard library of local services: search, time, web access, messaging, transfers, language-model calls, and a WebAssembly compiler. Which ones work depends on what is installed. We strongly recommend Ollama with a chat model (gemma4:26b) and an embedding model (nomic-embed-text), and the TinyGo toolchain for creating Wasm programs. You can change the underlying models in the configuration.
